Wedding Pictures

I wanted to share some photos from a wedding we went to this weekend. Shaun was in it and when he told me that the Tux was pink, yes PINK, I was a little hesitant on how it would look. Let me just say, he can do pink.

Also, Shaun and I have decided that when we are in our 50's, we will look like Shaun's dad and my mom. How scary is that?

I was going through my pictures and I wanted to share these photos of mom and the kids. They turned out really great. We were all dressed up for my 2nd cousins birthday and I was unaware of where it was, we all were. We drove out to Elmendorf and sure enough the party was in a bar.

I cannot believe I am writing this, but we took our kids to a bar and let me tell you, Cohen loved it which is a little bit scary but not at all shocking.

Well, I wanted to share some photos from this past weekends ceremony. I hardly ever have family photos, so I took this opportunity to make some. I will say that Kyleigh thinks she can wear the cords as an accessory. She is so not my daughter; where does she get these fashioning ideas.

Easter Fun

I wanted share some photos from our Easter festivities. The kids really loved tie dying the eggs and it was a lot less messy than the regular dipping ones and they were much cooler. Shaun also enjoyed helping the kids make the Easter House. Nana came over and on Easter morning she helped them put the finishing touches on the Easter House.

You can also see the boring walls behind that have a new fresh coat of paint.

House Fixing

So this weekend I got a wild hair to paint the living room and kitchen. Shaun was not as thrilled and excited about it as me, but he went along with it. As I began painting, I freaked him out a little when he saw the walls were a baby blue; I then told him that was the primer. We went with a Henna Red and Mark Twain Gold. It really accents our walls and shows some of the curves in the ceiling. Overall, I give us an 8. I think Shaun wants to quit doing home improvements for a while, but I want our house to fill like OUR house. I love the quote, "A house is not for first impressions but for free expression".

A New Santa

So while we were at the races, we tried to get the kids to sit with Santa and take a picture however Cohen is weirdly scared of him, therefore we passed up Santa and went to the face painting. When we were finished, Santa was gone, so Shaun volunteered to sit in the chair and take a picture with the kids. While I was taking the picture, an older lady said, "Wow, Santa has changed; can I sit on Santa's lap?" It was hilarious. Shaun and I laughed and the kids just looked confused.

So I wanted to add some pictures and this is one that I could not resist. We took the kids to the horse races a couple of weekends ago and there was a face painter for the kids. She was amazing. Kyleigh of course chose a butterfly and Cohen chose a scary tiger.

Ok, Here Goes Nothing

Ok, so this is my first entry to create; well not officially, I started a blog several months ago but could never remember my password so I only posted once. Well this time I am prepared and one of my new years resolutions is to stay in touch with loved ones and several of my friends have asked that I start a blog so that they can keep in touch, so here I am beginning a blog. This is new to me so I will have to learn as I go. Do not expect any fancy backgrounds for a while please.
