So since Shaun left today for Laredo, we decided to take the kids to the lake to go swimming and have fun. Let me tell you, first of all, there was a huge hill we had to climb down and it was not little, very huge, like Julie said, we looked like goats on the side of a mountain except we were in flip flops. When we got to the water, it was freezing. I only put my feet in but Shaun and the kids got all the way in and when Shaun jumped in he screamed like a girl. It was quite funny.

Earth Day Stuff at School
I decided to have my class learn about Earth Day. I know it is a hard concept for Pre-K, but they really took to it and came up with some exciting and smart ideas. We decided to clean up the flower beds in the front of our school and plant some new flowers to make it nice and pretty. Here is the finished outcome. It turned out really nice. Now if I can only remember to water it everyday before I leave:)
Just an update
So there have not been any exciting things I feel the need to post, but I have taken a few pictures over the past few weeks I will add. It seems my life is a little less thrilling than others so my blog seems a little boring. Here are some pictures of me and Ashley this weekend. We were being silly and taking pictures at Olive Garden; it is fun to act like a kid every once in a while. I will say my weekend was nice and relaxing without any kids or husband. It was a nice break because as I came back I realized this week begins the feeling of being a single parent with Shaun officially in Laredo for work. It seemed like they kept telling him he was going but then would keep him here so I really thought he was not going, but it actually came to reality this morning when he went:(:(

Easter Egg Decorating
We dyed Easter eggs at Elizabeth's with several other children. It was a blast. There were all kinds of colors and decorating things we bought and they enjoyed being creative and getting messy without any worries. I love that I can allow my children to get messy and have fun without worrying what they will mess up. Kids will always be kids!
Happy Easter to All!!!!!
Bee Cave Galleria
Elizabeth and the girls and I went to The Galleria in Bee Caves yesterday. It is very nice there and we decided to take pictures of the girls playing in the water. I am very glad this is not closer to my house because it could cause financial problems to a shopper like me. I was excited to get my charm bracelet from James Avery shortened while I was there.

Friday Fun
We are here in Round Mountain visiting K and Cohen's cousins. The kids have been enjoying the day off my playing outside with play dough (Kaden enjoyed licking it as you can see), trampoline fun, changing clothes a million times, playing the wi and making cookies. The rain came and we were stuck inside so they layed and watched TV. Then we made some Easter cookies. I fought the desire to eat those cookies, since I worked out; it would totally defeat the purpose of working out:) By the way, I have lost another 6 lbs and am officially in the 100's! About time!!!!!
Kyeligh's Honor Assembly
So one of the perks to having different holidays than K is that I can participate in some of her events when they fall on those days I have off. Thursday, Cohen and I got to go see K receive her stars. She received 3; one for A&B Honor Roll, one for behavior and one for Perfect Attendance for the 9 weeks. I am very proud of her for working hard in school:)
Her class also received Best Hall Manners. I was bummed that my camera messed up right as she was getting her stars:(

Weekend Gardening
My neighbor and K and me decided it was time to get some plants with color for spring. We drove down to C & J Nursery in Martindale and bought a ton of plants. Here is how it all turned out. Shaun and I enjoyed sitting on the porch this evening looking at how nice it turned out. Now I have to be patient and let some of them get fuller!
Birthday Weekend
So I had the best weekend ever. I was surprised by my hubby on Friday night with a spa day at The Retreat here in New Braunfels. I was pampered with a manicure, 1.5 hour pedi, and a Swedish Massage. The entire pampering lasted from 9 am to 2 pm. I could so get used to that (not a good thing). Then I came home to find my husband and son with balloons all over the house, 30 purple ones. As I walked in, I saw tulips on the table, 3 huge vases, 30 tulips as well (guess you know how old I am turning). Then I noticed this beautiful cake with dipped strawberries sitting there as well. He totally made me a Red-Velvet cake FROM SCRATCH including homemade cream cheese icing and covered strawberries. I was totally surprised and had no idea he aws doing this. He is very sneaky:), in a good way. Then he gave me a present and card. He even wrote me a poem. Such a closet romantic. I opened my present and it was a box that said Jared, and he wrote above it, He went to... He took my wedding ring and bands and had them sized (they were too big for me), cleaned, and soldered. They look brand spanking new and I love them. God has been good to me for allowing me to share this amazing guy and I am proud to call him my husband and the father of my children. I love you honey. You made me feel like a Queen for a day. I could never have asked for anything else. I got to spend the weekend with the most important people in my life:):)
